Assam NGO starts blood 'DONOR RIDER' drive
Guwahati/IBNS: The Kamrup (Metro) district administration on Monday granted permission to an NGO named Touch of Humanity to carry out the blood donation drive.
Touch of Humanity is a non-profit organization which is serving the society since 2014 and engaged with many works on three sectors namely health, education and environment.
It is only the NGO that proposed the concept of DONORS RIDER where the riders carried the donors from their respective locations to the hospital or the blood banks and drop them safely to their original location as a gesture of humanity without any financial exchange between the patients or the donors.
Hirak Jyoti Bora who is associated with the DONORS RIDER drive said that, there are many people in our society who are very poor financial conditions and the organization is especially helping this section of people.
