New Delhi/IBNS: The Delhi court on Wednesday granted bail to 12 people who were arrested over Seelampur violence which took place during an anti-Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) protests here, media reports said.

The bail has been granted on furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 15,000 each and a surety of the same amount.

The court on Dec 18 sent 11 people to a 14-day judicial custody.

Three people were later arrested. Two were granted bail earlier.

On Dec 17, a crowd had gathered at the New Seelampur Chowk to protest against the CAA and soon the protests turned violent with the agitators hurling stones at police personnel and setting buses on fire.

At least 22 people including 12 police personnel were injured when police had started lathicharging and using tear gas.
