Another CISF man dies due to Covid-19 in Kolkata

Kolkata/IBNS: An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Jharu Burman who was posted at Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited (GRSEL) here, succumbed to Covid-19 on Monday, reports said on Tuesday.

According to reports, after falling sick, the ASI was admitted to a city hospital last week and he was diagnosed with novel coronavirus.

An official in the Central paramilitary force said that it was the third Covid fatality in the CISF in India as a head constable posted at Mumbai international airport and another ASI posted at Indian Museum in Kolkata succumbed to Covid-19 earlier in last week.

CISF said that more than 60 of its personnel across the country have tested positive for novel coronavirus and they are undergoing treatments.
