New Delhi/UNI: Former MLA Anil Chaudhary was appointed as the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee chief by the grand old party on Wednesday.

The Congress has also announced five names as the DPCC vice-presidents - Abhishek Dutt , Jaikishan , Mudit Agarwal , Ali Hassan and Shivani Chopra.

According to a statement by the party, the president and the vice presidents were appointed by the party president Sonia Gandhi.

It was in the month of February when the earlier DPCC president Subhash Chopra had resigned from his post after the party could not manage to win any seat in the Delhi Assembly polls.

This was the second time in a row when the Congress was unable to win any seat.
