Andhra Pradesh: 70 new COVID-19 positive cases reported, tally touches 2944

Vijayawada/UNI: There was no letup in the spike of Coronavirus positive cases in Andhra Pradesh as 70 fresh cases were reported during the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 2,944.

A health bulletin said here on Saturday that 9,504 samples of people were tested from 9 am on Friday to 9 am this morning and of which 70 people were tested positive.

However, no death has been reported during the last 24 hours and the pandemic had so far claimed 60 lives.

As many as 2,092 patients have been discharged from various hospitals after they had recovered and 792 patients are still undergoing treatment, the bulletin said.
