Amit Shah to visit Chhattisgarh tomorrow

| @indiablooms | Mar 06, 2019, at 09:05 pm

Raipur, Mar 6 (UNI): Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah will visit the Chhattisgarh capital on Thursday to make preparations for Lok Sabha elections.

According to sources, Shah will reach Raipur in afternoon. He will attend BJP’s state core group meeting to discuss preparations for Lok Sabha elections and also the candidates for the elections. Later, he will address party workers at Indoor Stadium.

Party state in-charge Anil Jain held a meeting with core group members and discussed election preparations and strategy for election campaign. BJP national vice-president and former chief minister Raman Singh was also present on the occasion.

BJP has won 10 out of 11 seats in Chhattisgarh in past three Lok Sabha elections. However, the party suffered a massive setback in the last Assembly elections in the state, which is now ruled by the Congress.

BJP now only has 15 Assembly seats. Under this changing political scenario, the BJP would be doing everything in its power to contain losses.
