Morbi/UNI:  Amid the ongoing Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) row, three Pakistani Hindu youths, who had fled to India over a decade ago with their families, were granted Indian citizenship here on Saturday.

Har Singh Sodha, Sarup Singh Sodha and Parbat Singh Sodha, had fled to India from their native in Mithi area of Tharparkar district in the Sindh province of Pakistan in 2007 and were settled in Vavadi village of Morbi district.

Former Union Minister and Rajkot BJP MP Mohan Kundaria handed over Indian Citizenship certificate to them.

He said that the process to grant Indian citizenship to around 1000 such Pakistani Hindu refugees settled in Morbi would be expedited.

The youths, who had left Pakistan due to persecution and were living in India since 2007, said that they are very happy to get it.
