| @indiablooms | Jun 08, 2019, at 10:47 pm

Lucknow, Jun 8 (UNI) Samajwadi Party president on Saturday targeted Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the deteriorating law and order situation in the state and said that the recklessness of the current government has led to an upsurge in the incidents of rape and murder of minors.

After the abduction and murder of a minor girl in Aligarh another such incident occurred in Hamirpur where a five year girl was raped and murdered on Saturday. The incident occurred in Shivni village under Kurara police station of Hamirpur district. Locals staged protest and demanded probe by the Central bureau of Investigation into the incident. The accused is absconding.

Apparently chastened by the third successive poll debacle in last five years, Samajwadi party presidents, braving the sultry weather and heat wave on Saturday, visited Barabanki to meet the bereaved families who lost their kins after consuming spurious liquor. Twenty six persons succumbed after consuming country alcohol bought from the licensed liquor vendor.

Training his guns at the chief minister Yogi Adityanath, SP chief said here on Saturday, " 26 person died due to lax administration of the present BJP government," "The survivors were granted only Rs 2 lakh," he added.

He also accused the state government of suppressing the number of causalities of the hooch tragedy in Barabanki. "The meager of Rs 2 Lakh as compensation by the government is yet to be credited in the account of the family members of the victims," he told media.

Yadav demanded the closure of the distillery that manufactured the country liquor consumed by the local people of Raniganj town in Barabanki leading to death of 26 persons and 13 persons are admitted in Balrampur hospital in Lucknow.

"Is this the new India that Narendra Modi has promised to the people where minor girls are raped and killed," he lashed out.
