Agartala: 16-year-old girl commits suicide after getting incorrect information

Agartala, Jun 9 (UNI) A 16 years old girl who appeared Madhyamik exam under Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) had committed suicide in Kathalia area of Udaipur after getting a call from her friend.

Police said, the victim returned back home same day from her relative's house to get the result of board exam. She received a call from one of her friend who informed that her number was not seen in the result sheet and she might have failed.


The victim was depressed after the call and after sometime, she consumed the acid stored in their house.


Immediately, she was shifted to hospital and declared dead.


Later, the result indicated that she passed the exam with good marks. The incident cast a shadow in the village while police launched investigation.
