New Delhi, Jun 6 (IBNS): After being left out, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has been included in a number of key cabinet committees in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's second term.

Singh was earlier included in just two of the revamped committees.

On Thursday, it was announced that he will now be in six of them.

Earlier, Singh's exclusion from key cabinet committees created speculations as he was the number 2 during Modi's first term.

After getting the number 2 position in this second innings of BJP, Home Minister Amit Shah was included in eight of them while Singh was just in two.

Singh was earlier included in Cabinet Committees on Economic Affairs and Security.

He has now been added to the committees on parliamentary affairs; political affairs; investment and growth; and employment and skill development as well.

However, the Cabinet Appointments Committee has only PM Modi and Amit Shah.
