Actor Pallavi Dey death case: Kolkata Police arrests live-in partner Sagnik Chakraborty

Kolkata/IBNS: The Kolkata Police Tuesday arrested late Bengali actor Pallavi Dey's live-in partner Sagnik Chakraborty in connection with the former's death, media reports said.

Pallavi's father Neelu Dey has alleged his daughter was killed.

Sagnik has been accused by Neelu Dey of killing Pallavi to stay with another woman, Oindrilla Sarkar.

The accused was quizzed by Garfa Police the entire Monday night.

Pallavi, a television actor who was gaining popularity, was found hanging Sunday at her south Kolkata residence in Garfa.

The actress in her late 20s was known for her leading role in Ami Sirajer Begum (2018) and was currently playing the female lead in TV show Mon Mane Na.

She was found hanging by her relatives at their Garfa flat in the city at around 9:30 am from the ceiling fan.

She was taken to MR Bangur hospital at Tollygunge where the medics declared her dead.

Her body was sent for autopsy.

Pallavi was very popular among her professional colleagues and became popular for her role in the television serial Resham Jhanpi.
