5 killed in road accident in Dhanbad

Dhanbad/UNI: Five members of a family died on Monday morning in a car accident which took place at Pagla Mode on the Govindpur-Sahebganj main road under East Tundi Police Station area of this district.

Police sources said that the incident took place as the car was being driven at a very high speed and the driver ended up hitting a truck from behind.

The occupants of the car who belong to one family were travelling towards Jamtara when the incident took place. Among the deceased included two men, a woman and two children while the driver has sustained serious injuries and has been admitted at PMCH Dhanbad.

Since the car was badly damaged police had to use gas cutters to take out the bodies.
