492 people arrested for defying COVID-19 lockdown in Arunachal Pradesh

Guwahati/IBNS: Arunachal Pradesh police have arrested 492 people across the state so far for defying COVID-19 orders.

Arunachal Pradesh DGP RP Upadhaya said a total of 492 people have been arrested so far for violating lockdown orders in the state.

“Many lockdown violation incidents have reported across the state. Arunachal Police is implementing the lockdown seriously for the safety of people,” the Arunachal Pradesh DGP said.

He further said 1669 violators of lockdown have been booked and 492 persons have been arrested so far.

Arunachal Pradesh police have also seized 750 vehicles including two wheelers, four wheelers.

A total of 161 FIRs have been registered at different police stations in the state and police imposed fine of Rs 6,47,650.

Arunachal Pradesh has registered single COVID-19 positive case and the patient was discharged from hospital recently.
