4.9 earthquake hits J&K
Srinagar, July 8 (IBNS): A low intensity earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter Scale hit Jammu and Kashmir region on Tuesday.
The quake struck at around 9:05pm.
The epicentre of the quake was located at 36.2 degree north and 94.4 degree east, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
People rushed out of their houses for safety.
No loss of of life or property have been reported so far.
