15 Years of TMC rule under fire— Amit Shah to unveil 'chargesheet' against Mamata govt today

Kolkata/IBNS: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will on Saturday unveil a list of allegations against the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal, calling it a "chargesheet" against the ruling dispensation of the poll-bound state.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) top leader arrived late on Friday night amid heavy rains and poor weather conditions. In a brief visit to the city, he is scheduled to present the 'chargesheet' at a press conference at a hotel in New Town.

Shah is set to accuse the Trinamool Congress government of corruption, collapse of law and order, prevalence of syndicate raj, and crises in health and education—issues expected to dominate the upcoming assembly elections.

Earlier this month, Shah had launched the BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ during his visit to West Bengal and held meetings with party officials.

Addressing a rally at Magrahat in South 24 Parganas, he promised the formation of a seventh pay commission in West Bengal within 45 days if the BJP comes to power.

The saffron party aims to end 15 years of uninterrupted TMC rule, while the ruling party is targeting the BJP and the Election Commission of India (ECI) over the controversial Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.
