1 dead in massive fire in Mumbai's Andheri

Mumbai/IBNS: One person was killed in a massive fire that broke out at a film set in Mumbai's Andheri on Friday. 

The fire, which started at a temporary pandal installed at Chitrakoot Ground around 4.30 pm, was doused after six hours.

Eight fire engines, five water jetties and other equipment were used to douse the fire.

As per civic officials, the deceased has been identified as Manish Devashi (32), who was injured in the fire, and was declared brought dead at civic-run Cooper Hospital.

Visuals from the scene showed huge plumes of smoke billowing from the building.

The cause of the fire was not yet clear.
