Abu Dhabi: Indian PM Narendra Modi on Saturday met UAE president Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi and said his energy and vision for development remained admirable.

" It is always gladdening to meet HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. His energy and vision for development are admirable. We discussed the full range of India-UAE ties including ways to boost cultural and economic ties," Modi tweeted.

The two leaders discussed issues related to trade & investment, fintech, energy, renewables, climate action, higher education and people to people ties.

MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi tweeted: "Deepening - Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. PM @narendramodi warmly welcomed by UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the iconic Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace."

Modi, earlier in the day, arrived in Abu Dhabi after completing his visit to France.
