Congress appoints regional observers for Karnataka

New Delhi/UNI: The Congress on Wednesday appointed regional observers for Karnataka ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls.

The regional observers for Central Karnataka, Mysore and Coastal Karnataka and two others have been appointed by the party president, as per a communique issued by Congress general secretary in-charge Organisation KC Venugopal on Wednesday.

Among the regional observers appointed includes Manickam Tagore, Avinash Pande and Ajoy Kumar.

Elections to the 224 member Karnataka Assembly will be held on May 10. The results will be declared on May 13.

The Opposition Congress is eyeing to return to power. The BJP is hopeful that it will retain power.
