New Delhi/IBNS: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will on Tuesday question former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in jail in connection with a money laundering scam related to the city's liquor policy, media reports said.

The ED will record the statement of Sisodia, who was sent to Tihar Jail for a couple of weeks on Monday.

The probe agency, which investigates financial crimes, will question Sisodia in a precursor to the ex-minister possible arrest.

The former Delhi Education Minister was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Feb 26.

Sisodia, the top leader of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, had earlier moved the Supreme Court against the order of the CBI Special Judge but the apex court on Feb 28 refused to entertain the petition by pointing out that he had sufficient legal remedies before approaching the highest court so can make all points before the High Court, so after that, he moved before the trial Court.

According to the CBI, the excise policy suffered from irregularities both in its formulation and implementation.
