Manipur: Two militants involved in planting bomb nabbed

Imphal/UNI: Manipur police have arrested two alleged cadres of a banned Manipur-based outfit Sunday for allegedly planting a powerful bomb.

SP Imphal West, Ksh Shivakanta addressing the media here on Monday said six digital electronic circuits used in triggering IEDs, and incriminating documents were also seized from the duo.

The two persons identified as Bhogendro and Nabin Singh, both residents of Imphal were nabbed from their respective houses.

Police said Bhogendro had planted a bomb weighing about 4 kg at Singjamei, Imphal West on Sep 8 last.

Singjamei police have started a probe into the matter.
