Voting in fourth phase of Jharkhand Assembly polls underway

Ranchi/IBNS:  Voting for the fourth phase of the Jharkhand Assembly elections is currently underway since Monday morning.

Voters in fifteen constituencies will exercise their franchise to decide the fates of 221 candidates.
Fates of state Labour Minister Raj Paliwar and Land and Revenue Minister Amar Kumar Bauri will be decided by the voters.

Voting commenced at 7 am in the morning.

It will continue till 3 pm in Jamua, Bagodar, Giridih, Dumri and Tundi seats,

However, voting will continue till 5 pm in the remaining seats.
PM Narendra Modi tweeted and urged people to cast their votes.

The final phase of voting will take place on Dec 20.

The results will be declared on Dec 23.

The election assumes significance as it is the first result that will declared since the BJP-led government passed the new citizenship law in the country.

Several parts of the nation are witnessing massive protests against the law.
