Corruption is no longer a poll issue: TMC to Congress on Adani issue

| @indiablooms | Nov 28, 2024, at 08:28 pm

Kolkata/IBNS: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress skipped the key INDIA bloc's meeting on the US indictment against billionaire Gautam Adani on Monday.

The TMC cited its own internal meeting as the reason behind skipping the meeting.

Now as per reports, the TMC had downplayed the issues of corruption when it was reached out by Congress, the largest party in the opposition camp.

When a top Congress leader invited TMC to join the meeting to corner the Modi government, Mamata's party colleague refused stating corruption is no longer a poll issue.

"Corruption no longer impacts elections," said the TMC leader as quoted in the media.
