‘One of my favourite watches’: Abir Chatterjee talks Citizen as brand marks 50 years of Eco-Drive
Kolkata/IBNS: Citizen Watches celebrated its golden jubilee anniversary of its Eco-Drive innovation on Thursday, with Bengali actor Abir Chatterjee joining the senior management of Citizen Watches India, to inaugurate a new flagship store at South City Mall.
The celebration marked five decades of Eco-Drive, Citizen’s technology that harnesses light to power watches and eliminates the need for regular battery replacement. The technology also reflects the brand’s focus on developing more sustainable watchmaking solutions.
Actor Abir Chatterjee said, "Watches are more than just a fascination to me, it is a part of everyday life. Citizen is one of the most trusted brands. We're in awe of its japanese technology, art and design. Today Citizen inaugurated a premium flagship store, I'm very happy. I even have one of my favourite watches from Citizen and they have plenty of options to choose from."
The anniversary celebration marked the occasion of the newly relocated Citizen flagship shop in the city which was presented as an enhanced retail experience for watch enthusiasts and consumers.
The guests, at the store inauguration, had the opportunity to explore the latest collections from Citizen and Bulova, along with the brands’ watchmaking innovations, while interacting with the senior management, business partners and the special guests.
Koichiro Usui, Managing Director of Citizen Watches India, said, “The relocation of our Kolkata Flagship Shop is an important milestone for us. Celebrating this occasion alongside 50 years of Eco-Drive makes it even more special. Kolkata has always been an important market for Citizen, and we look forward to offering our best to the watch enthusiasts in the city.”
With the newly relocated flagship shop, the company aims to strengthen its presence in the city and offer customers an enhanced retail experience.
