NCVET recognises assessment firm HireMee as an Assessment Agency

| @indiablooms | Feb 12, 2024, at 11:01 pm

New Delhi: Talent assessment and technology platform HireMee has earned National Council of Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) recognition as an assessment agency.

The recognition by NCVET, a quality standards regulator for Vocational Education and Training, allows the 7-year-old Bengaluru headquartered social enterprise to assess candidates on NSQF aligned qualifications that it has approved.

An agreement signing ceremony was attended by NCVET’s Chairperson Dr Nirmaljeet Singh Kalsi, Executive Member Dr Vinita Aggarwal, Secretary and Director Col. Santhosh Kumar and Director (Recognition) Col. Gunjan Chowdhary, and HireMee Sr VP and Head Venkatraman Umakanth, last week.

Through this recognition by the NCVET, HireMee will assess candidates completing programs offered by any NCVET recognised awarding body and NSQF aligned and approved qualifications under government-funded schemes.

“The 5 million people engaged in powering the $250 billion strong Indian IT-ITES industry need to continuously train in emerging technologies to stay relevant. As a NCVET accredited assessment agency HireMee is geared to meet the assessment needs of the industry," says HireMee’s Venkatraman Umakanth.

This recognition follows a stringent process of evaluation of HireMee’s capabilities in offering HireMee AI proctored assessments in a range of IT and non-IT areas, its understanding of NCVET’s regulations and commitment to adherence to these by HireMee’s multidisciplinary team.

HireMee assessment platform is widely used by several corporates across India, Middle-East and the USA for talent acquisition and management and academic institutions and has delivered nearly 3 million assessments. HireMee offers a comprehensive employability test comprising aptitude, psychometry and domain skills at no-cost.

Since its inception HireMee platform has worked closely with nearly 7000 colleges accredited by AICTE; National Career Service of the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment; Tamil Nadu government’s upskilling program Naan Mudhalvan and Karnataka government’s Digital Economy Mission and over 2000 companies, among others.

HireMee platform has helped more than 690,000 students get themselves assessed at no-cost with over 260,000 students getting the opportunity to be interviewed by various companies. Of these, nearly 57 per cent of the job opportunities came to students from Tier-3 and Tier-4 towns and nearly half of these opportunities were for women candidates.

“By helping employers discover young men and women for employment based on their assessment score HireMee aspires to make youth ‘Atmanirbhar’", says Venkatraman.
