Miles Professional Education introduces US CMA course in Kolkata

| | Apr 23, 2015, at 11:42 pm
Kolkata, Apr 23 (IBNS): The tri-party agreement of Miles Professional Education, Wiley and Institute of Management Accountants, US introduced US CMA and US CPA courses in Kolkata.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is the US equivalent of Indian CA. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is the US equivalent of Indian CMA.

In his inaugural speech, Varun Jain, CPA, CMA, National Instructor and Founder, Miles Professional Education spoke about the limitations of the Indian CA degree.

He said, “The Indian certificates is limited to a geographical boundary, it might not work in the USA or Europe. The US CPA and CMA are much more credible.”

However, his claims were strongly disapproved by Tirthankar Nag, Dean Academics, International Management Institute, Kolkata who posed several questions challenging the need of an US CPA and CMA degree.

Partho S Sengupta, Professor, Behavioral Studies, KIIT School of Management, Bhubaneswar asked the students to judge their respective needs wisely and choose accordingly.

As of now one can sit for their CPA exams from any of the four south Asian centers, i.e. UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Lebanon apart from the other US centers.

CMA exams can be given from one’s respective cities.

The cost for CMA is approximately INR 1, 00, 000 and INR 3, 00, 000 for CPA for a year.
