MHRD adjudges IISc Bengaluru as the best institution

New Delhi, Apr 3 (IBNS): The Ministry of Human Resource Development on Tuesday adjudged the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru as the overall best institution in the country in its National Institutional Ranking Framework report.

West Bengal's Jadavpur University has bagged the sixth position in the university category of 2018 ranking.

Meanwhile, the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) has been adjudged the best engineering college and the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) the best management institution of the country.

The announcements were made by Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar at an event in New Delhi's Vigyan Bhavan.

Delhi's Miranda House has managed to capture the top position among all general colleges followed by St Stephen's College.
