Kolkata:The Shack Lounge launches new menu

Kolkata, May 21 (IBNS): Kolkata's 65 seater rooftop cafe The Shack Lounge, which earlier served Mexican and Lebanese cuisine, on Friday launched an American section to its menu.

The American section includes dishes such as spicy Chilli Cheese Toast, American Club Sandwich, Cheese and Corn Sandwich, Mushroom and Cheese Sandwich, a Burger platter and an OMG Burger. While the Burger platter comprises small sliders in different flavours, the OMG burger is a mammoth bun and pate weighing 1.5 kilograms.

The Platter section has Mexican and Mezze Platter. The Mexican Platter has Herb rice being served with enchiladas, nachos and a salsa Verde while the Mezze Platter comprises Lebanese rice, falafel pockets and a wrap served along with lavash and hummus.

Speaking about the new menu Mahmood Alam, owner, The Shack Lounge, said: “After having given Italian, Mexican and Lebanese cuisines to our guests, the new menu is focusing on the American influence. With a range of dishes from the spicy and tantalising Chilli Cheese toast to the mammoth OMG burgers, the dishes are meant for all kinds of taste palates.”

A meal for two would cost Rs. 800,inclusive taxes.
