Build a literate, educated and empowered India: Irani

Bhopal, June 28 (IBNS) Minister for Human Resource Development Smriti Zubin Irani on Saturday called for building a literate, educated and empowered India.

 Addressing the students at Second Convocation of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Bhopal, Irani said that training individuals is niche areas of science and technology which is crucial to the progress of our nation and IISER Bhopal is contributing to the effort.

"Striving for excellence is not a one time effort but a lifelong commitment and the process of learning is never ending as long as one lives," she said.

The Minister also said that the Ministry of Human Resources Development established the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) with a determination to achieve good results and produce quality manpower.

The Minister appreciated the contribution of IISER Bhopal to the Science Education and Research.
