Kolkata/IBNS: The book reading and discussion session of a political and economic analyst Priya Virmani's book  'The Smallest Stories To Extraordinary' was hosted by radio personality Jimmy Tangree last month.

Priya Virmani said in the session that Vivek Oberoi wrote some paragraphs in her book.

According to Oberoi, "The stories in the book are little stories - stories of the everyday, highlighting the extra in the ordinary- an 'extra' ordinary. We often pass by them because it's the bigger things we are chasing after."

Virmani said, "This book is a simple book. It is a simple book of true stories on everyday life of people like you and me. But simplicity here is absolutely magical. Just look at the seed is planted in the soil  that little minuscule sprouts into a whole plant.

Isn't that the supreme intelligence that are coded in that leaf with such ease into its sprouting. we are made of that same intelligence, with the same magic conditioning around us, expectations here is what society expects, what we expect often deviate this  magic."

She added, "This book looks at the similar leaves of courage, inspiration and injustice of gender and inequality, love ,loss but from the face of lived experience each one of us can relate to it because each of us have a daily life we are living."

Makeup artist and hair stylist Bridgette Jones read a passage from one of the stories from the book author herself. The book is available on Amazon.

The book unearths and highlights the joy and power enclosed in everyday.

The stories are an array -some reverberate with a wondrous poignancy while others make a powerful comment on rampant inequalities; some are quietly intimate and others emphatically inspirational. Her short stories, written with truth and an intent to see the world a happier place, are a new voice in the genre of storytelling.
