Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who will turn 61 in a couple of months, has opened up about his recent weight loss journey.

The actor, known for his perfectionism in preparing for onscreen roles, shed 18 kilos following an anti-inflammatory diet he adopted to manage his persistent migraines.

“Eighteen kilos, actually,” Aamir told Bollywood Hungama. “It happened by default. The new diet I am following for health reasons is working like magic for me. I undertook the diet for the migraines. It is an anti-inflammatory diet. I not only lost eighteen kgs, my migraines have also reduced considerably.”

On the professional front, Aamir recently produced the film Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, starring Vir Das and Mithila Palkar, which released last week.

The movie, co-directed by Vir Das and Kavi Shastri, also features Aamir and his nephew Imran Khan in cameo appearances, marking Imran’s return to films after a long hiatus.
