Guwahati/UNI: In view of the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the Assam government on Friday said it has decided to cancel the class 10 and 12 board examinations.

State education minister Ranoj Pegu said that it won't be possible to conduct the HSLC, High Madrassa, and HS final year examinations in view of the prevailing Covid-19.

The decision has been taken in the meeting of various stakeholders, including student organisations held at the state secretariat on Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court on Thursday approved an evaluation formula framed by CBSE and CISCE which factors in the Class 10 board result and Class 11 performance.
