Kolkata/IBNS: If you are fond of the ‘hilsa’ or ‘Ilish’, the fish that rules the monsoon menu at every Bengali home, then JW Marriott Kolkata has some mouth-watering news for you.

Between September 1 and 10, 2020, at the JW Kitchen, they will be holding a special festival called ‘Hilsa – The Queen is Back’, both for lunch and dinner.

According to the chefs, the spread will include the traditional recipes as well as a few experimental ones.

If you are hungry for the dishes often prepared in all home kitchens, they go for the “Elish Macher Bhaja”, “Smoked Elish” and “Elish Macher Tel Jhal”.

There is also “Aam Sorshen Elish”, “Doodh Elish”, “Elish Lau Patar Paturi” and “Tawa Elish” where the mixed flavours enhance the taste of the fish.

Apart from assuring patrons that the hotel has all its health and safety protocols in place, they have not forgotten to point out that this nutrition-rich fish is just the thing when we are all eager for immunity boosting dishes.

The festival menu is also available as part of the home delivery options, which you may order directly (Marriott on Wheels) or through popular food delivery apps.
