Kolkata/IBNS: At a glittering function in Kolkata, Jyoti Mahipal, former Vice President of the association, was formally installed as the 50th Association President of Inner Wheel Clubs in India on Saturday.

Inner Wheel, which is an international women's organisation affiliated with the Rotary Club that stepped into a new millennium year in 2023, held the function titled The Aurum Affaire - a legacy etched in Gold, in Kolkata's JW Marriott Hotel.

The shared Inner Wheel objectives are promoting true friendship, encouraging the ideals of personal service, and fostering international understanding, but individual chapters accomplish those goals based on local resources and interest.

Under the leadership of Mahipal, the association in India aims to empower women in every field, promote education and upgrade educational standards for youth, improve healthcare access and awareness, and protect the environment—particularly by reducing e-waste.

Guided by the motto "Friendship and Service", its core mission is to foster friendship across the globe and serve society through meaningful projects that leave a lasting legacy.

Delegates from across India made it to the national gathering in Kolkata where the chief guest, Dr. Mallika Sarabhai, renowned classical dancer and Padma Bhushan awardee, delivered a powerful and inspiring address.
