A sterilizing ink-filled marker than can help you avoid touching elevator or ATM buttons directly

Kolkata/IBNS:  Transmission of the COVID-19 virus through surface area may be one of the ways through which people can get infected, warn many health experts.

To minimise surface area transmission, contact points in offices and public areas are being kept to the minimum.

For example, doors within offices or shops are being left open now during operational hours so that you do not have to push them open.

But there are some places where you cannot avoid touching the surface. Such as pushing the button in an elevator or at an ATM.

Popular writing instrument brand Linc Pen and Plastics Limited has therefore introduced a special pocket-sized gadget which will make life a little less tension free when you have to touch that button or a surface with your finger.

With a catchy (though slightly misleading) name, Pentonic Covid-19 Killer, it is a retractable, sterilizing ink-filled marker which can be used instead of the finger for operating elevator buttons, doorbells, card swipe machines,  etc., thus reducing the chances of surface contact as far as possible.

The 70 percent ethanol-based ink of the Pentonic Covid-19 Killer also sterilizes the surface it touches.

With a refillable cartridge, the marker is designed for one handed use and operated with an easy push button

"The new Pentonic Covid-19 Killer uses an inventive technology with the highest regard for one’s safety and hygiene and it will certainly change the landscape of how we envision our daily activities," said Deepak Jalan, Managing Director and CEO, Linc Pen and Plastics Limited.

The product will be available at stores in major Indian cities in the first week of August. You may also order online from Amazon and Flipkart.
