Total positive Novel Coronavirus cases in India rise to 271

New Delhi/IBNS: The total number of positive deadly Novel Coronavirus cases in the country increased to 271 a day ahead of the "Janata Curfew" which will be in place on Sunday.

So far in Maharashtra, 63 people have been infected while at least 40 people have been tested positive in Kerala.

One new positive case has been reported in the state of West Bengal taking the total number to three.

Delhi has also witnessed a jump in the number of positive cases as 26 people in the national capital have been infected.

The Janata Curfew (a nationwide lockdown by public), as called by Prime Minister Modi, will be in place between 7 am and 9 pm on Sunday.

The Prime Minister has asked all citizens to stay indoors for the day to combat COVID-19.
