Three new Coronavirus cases confirmed: total number increases to 17 in Jharkhand

Ranchi/UNI: With three new confirmed cases of Coronavirus being detected in the state, the total number of positive Coronavirus patients has reached 17 in Jharkhand.

One case each has been detected in Ranchi, Hazaribagh and Koderma.

District wise the number of Coronavirus now stands at Ranchi- 8, Bokaro- 6, Hazaribagh- 2 and Koderma- 1.

Koderma district reported its first case while all the patients in Ranchi are from Hindpiri area. A patient detected positive for Coronavirus in Bokaro has died. All the positive COVID patients have been shifted to dedicated Covid-19 hospitals in their respective districts.

A report from Koderma said that the man hails originally from Giridih district and had returned from Mumbai on March 23. After citing health issues he was brought to community health care centre Markacho from where he was immediately sent to Sadar Hospital Koderma.

Hazaribagh reported its second positive case and the person hails from Kargalo village of Bishnugarh block. Incidentally, the first Coronavirus patient in this district also hails from the same village.

In the state capital Ranchi yet another confirmed Coronavirus patient belongs to Hindpiri area. The first Coronavirus case in Jharkhand was also reported from Hindpiri as a Malaysian woman had tested positive for the disease on March 31. Another woman tested positive for Coronavirus in Hindpiri on April 6 and on April 9 five other family members of the woman tested positive for Coronavirus.
