Sources in the West Bengal Health and Family Welfare department on Sunday said that three doctors from Kolkata and its adjoining areas had tested positive for novel coronavirus.

According to reports, a doctor of state-run Howrah District Hospital's emergency department has tested Covid-19 positive while two physicians attached with a private health facility in south Kolkata and a nursing home in New Town area have also tested positive for novel coronavirus.

State health officials said that Howrah District Hospital's Covid-19 infected doctor has been admitted to M.R. Bangur hospital in Kolkata while remaining two medical practitioners from Kolkata are undergoing treatment at Beliaghata ID hospital.

Days ago, Howrah District Hospital's Superintendent and a non-medical staff had tested positive for novel coronavirus and they are undergoing treatments in a Kolkata hospital.
