Spike continues: India records 24,882 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours, 140 deaths

New Delhi: Maintaining the steady hike in daily count of cases, India records 24,882 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health released data on Saturday.

During the same 24 hours period, 140 people also died due to the virus.

There are 202022 active cases in the country at present.

So far, 10973260 people have been discharged from hospital.

The death toll due to the disease now stands at 158446.
