Pakistan authorises emergency use of Chinese firm Sinopharm's anti-coronavirus vaccine dubbed 'unsafe'

Islamabad: The Pakistan government and its alliance with China continues as PM Imran Khan and the drug authority recently authorised emergency use of Chinese firm Sinopharm's anti-coronavirus vaccine, which a Chinese doctor has dubbed the ‘most unsafe in the world’ claiming that it has 73 side effects..

Pakistan is still combating the second wave of COVID-19 outbreak.

The decision was taken by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) after meetings held between January 14 and 18 during which the authority reviewed vaccine results submitted by the National Institute of Health (NIH), sources told Geo News.

This approval allows federal and provincial governments as well as the private sector to import the vaccine from China, reports the Pakistani news channel.

Pakistan has registered 11,103 deaths due to COVID-19 so far.
