Odisha: Royal Bengal tigress die at Nandankanan Zoological Park

Bhubaneswar, Aug 12 (UNI) ‘’Priynka’’, a 19-year old Royal Bengal tigress, died at the Nandankanan Zoological Park here this morning.

Zoo officials said ‘Priyanka’ was unwell due to age-related ailments and undergoing treatment for the past two years and died this morning.

The tigress was born in the zoo in 2000 to tiger Ashok and tigress Tanuja.

With the death of the tigress Nandankanan Zoo is left with 26 tigers including 13 normal, nine white and four melanistic tigers.
