Maharashtra reports 1,886 new Covid-19 cases and 5 deaths

Aurangabad/Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra has reported 1,886 fresh positive of Covid-19 cases and 5 more related deaths, according to a health bulletin Wednesday.

With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 80,50,171 and the death toll goes up to 1,48,110.

Meanwhile, 2,106 patients were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking the overall count of recoveries to 78,89,478.

The state's recovery rate currently stands at 98 percent and fatality rate at 1.83 per cent.

Presently, 12,583 active patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals, across the state, the bulletin added.

Meanwhile, the Marathwada region in the state reported 82 new Covid cases including 25 in Nanded district, followed by 22 in Aurangabad district, 18 in Latur district, 10 cases in Osmanabad district and 7 in Jalna district while the remaining three districts did not report any new case, the bulletin further added.
