India's total COVID-19 cases cross 50-lakh mark

New Delhi: India's COVID-19 tally crossed the 50-lakh mark with  90,123 new cases reported in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health figures revealed on Wednesday.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in India now stands at 50,20,360, including 9,95,933 active cases.

In the past 24 hours, 1290 deaths have been reported.

The death toll due to the highly infectious disease now stands at 82066.  

So far, 3942360 people have recovered from the disease.

India's recovery rate now stands at 78.53 percent.
