India reports jump in Covid-19 cases, sees over 45,000 infections in 24 hours

New Delhi/IBNS: India, a country of 1.3 billion people, on Thursday reported over 45,000 new Covid-19 cases taking the tally to over 8.95 million.

In 24 hours between Wednesday and Thursday mornings, the country has reported 45,576 cases taking the tally to 89,58,483.

With 585 deaths in the same period, the Covid-19 toll has touched 1,31,578.

The daily recovery figure has also jumped to 48,493.

So far, 83,83,602 people, who were infected with the virus, have recovered.
