India records slight dip in daily COVID-19 case count

New Delhi: After marking over 1 lakh cases, India witnessed a slight dip in daily case count and  96,982 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, official figures said on Tuesday.

During the same period, 446 deaths were also recorded.

The death toll due to the deadly virus now stands at 1,65,547.

Thee are  7,88,223 active cases in the country at present.

The latest dailuy count was released by the Ministry of Helath on a day when several states in India are voting to elect new assemblies.
