India records 3900 new COVID-19 cases in a day, death toll stands at 1568

New Delhi/IBNS: India has recorded a major spike of  3,900 COVID-19 new cases in 24 hours as the nation crossed the 46000-mark on Tuesday, as per the Ministry of Health released data.

The total tally of COVID-19 cases in India now stands at 46,433.

So far, 1568 people have died due to the disease.

Across the country, 12726 people have been discharged from hospitals.

Maharashtra remained the top hit state with 14,500 cases. The state registered 583 deaths.
