India records 19,078 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours, 224 deaths

New Delhi: Maintaining its steady decline in COVID-19 cases, India recorded 19,078 new instances in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health released data on Saturday.

In the 24 hours period, ther country also recorded 224 deaths due to the virus.

The total death toll due to the disease now stands at 149218.

So far, 9906387 people have been discharged from hospitals.

There are 250183 active cases in the country now.

Meanwhile, India will conduct a dry run before the actual vaccination drive against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) on Saturday.
