Haryana reports 14 fresh COVID-19 cases

Chandigarh/UNI:  Haryana reported fourteen fresh coronavirus cases on Tuesday, taking the tally of such cases to 928 in the state.

According to the official Health bulletin, nine fresh cases have been reported from Faridabad district, two each from Mahendergarh and Sonepat and one new case from Jind district.

Of the 14 fatalities till now, six deaths have been reported from Faridabad district, three from Panipat, two from Ambala, while one death each was reported from Sonepat, Karnal and Rohtak districts.

Gurugram tops the tally in the state with 211 confirmed cases, followed by Faridabad 159, Sonepat 139, Jhajjar 90, Nuh 65, Ambala 42, Palwal 39, Panipat 38, Panchkula 25, Jind 21, Karnal 19, Rohtak twelve, Mahendergarh 10, Rewari nine, Fatehabad, Yamunanagar and Sirsa eight each, Hisar seven, Bhiwani six, Kaithal five, Charkhi Dadri four and Kurukshetra district recorded three cases.

Out of 81,618 samples, 928 have tested positive and 76,202 negatives, while reports of 4,474 were awaited. There are 327 active cases in the state.

A total of 587 patients, including 114 from Gurugram, 93 from Sonepat, 77 from Faridabad, 60 from Nuh, 53 from Jhajjar, 40 from Ambala, 36 from Palwal, 31 from Panipat, 23 from Panchkula, 15 from Jind, nine from Karnal, eight each from Sirsa and Yamunanagar, four each from Mahendergarh and Rohtak, three each from Bhiwani and Hisar, two each from Kurukshetra and Kaithal and one patient each from Fatehabad and Charkhi Dadri districts have been discharged from hospitals, so far.

As many as 40,454 patients have been put on surveillance till date, of which 28,281 have completed their surveillance period and currently, only 12,173 patients are under surveillance.

Meanwhile, apart from 928 positive cases, 14 Italian nationals in the state had tested positive.

Thirteen of them had been discharged after their initial test was negative and one later tested negative for COVID-19. However, he died due to some other reason, the bulletin added.
