Gujarat: Farmer attacked, injured by leopard

Junagadh/UNI: A farmer was attacked and injured by a wild leopard while he was working in his farm in Sankhda village under Una taluka of Gir Somnath district in Gujarat on Friday.

CCF D T Vasavada said that the incident took place in the village close to Jasadhar range and Simar beat of the Gir forests.

'The farmer identified as one Bharat Gohil ( 35) has been injured by leopard when he was working in his castor farm. He has sustained injuries on face, hand and head and has been admitted to a hospital at Una. Field staff has visited the hospital and another team has set a cage at the incident place to nab the beast,' he informed.
