COVID-19: West Midnapore expects withdrawal from Red Zone tag

Midnapore/UNI:  The Central Government's decision of declaring West Midnapore District as Red Zone may come to an end with six out of seven RPF jawans affected with Corona freed from Baroma hospital on Sunday, the district CMOH said.

Three persons from Nizampur in Daspur have also been released yesterday from the same hospital. With this only 2 active cases of corona remain in the district now, the CMOH added.

No further cases of corona also received from the district from March 28 till date, Dr Saumysankar Sarangi Deputy CMOH who is in charge of all covid hospitals said.

No case of corona attack has also been found in the District HQ. Midnapore town.

Observers say that that the people of Midnapore are jubilant over this and expecting a good announcement regarding the status of the district in the next week or so.
