COVID-19: West Bengal sees highest one-day jump of 3720 cases, 62 more deaths reported

Kolkata/IBNS: With highest-ever single-day spike of 3720 infections, West Bengal's Covid-19 tally on Thursday mounted to 3,09,417, including 31,984 active cases, 5870 deaths and 2,71,563 discharges.

According to a bulletin issued by West Bengal Health and Family Welfare (WBHFW), in the past 24 hours, the state reported 62 more Covid-19 fatalities and 3179 discharges.

The bulletin stated that the discharge rate in Bengal had slightly dropped to 87.77 per cent which was at 87.79 per cent on Wednesday.

West Bengal has tested 38,61,095 samples till date with 42,653 tests conducted in 92 testing facilities across the state in the last 24 hours, reports said.
